Schleich Horse Percheron Foal
Stocky and strong, Percherons are sturdy show horses.
Throughout history, Percherons have served as battle mounts, draft horses, stagecoach horses, farm aides, logging horses, pleasure drivers, riding horses and competitors. Highly adaptable, Percherons are willing to serve in a variety of ways. Between fifteen and nineteen hands high, these horses can weigh over one ton and live to be almost thirty. Because of their size, Percherons can be described as rugged and strong. To its personality are attributed pride and intelligence.
Fun Facts: One of the tallest horses, a Percheron, was recorded as being seven feet tall at the withers (between the shoulder blades).
